What is Gamess Emul Arcade?+
Gamess Emul Arcade is a free retro game emulator arcade you play directly in your web browser with no installation. It runs ROMs in the browser via EmulatorJS, and your game progress is saved automatically to your account.
Do I need to install any software to play?+
No. No separate program or app installation is required. Just open a game page in a modern web browser and play instantly.
Is it free? Are there any fees?+
New users receive 50 GM points on sign-up. System-provided games are free on your first play; after that a 7-day pass costs 50 GM. Games uploaded by other users are purchased once at each game's price.
What are GM points?+
GM points are the in-service points used on Gamess, mainly for buying game access passes. New users start with 50 GM, and if you upload a game that others buy, you earn 50% of the price back in GM.
Is my game progress (save data) kept?+
Yes. Save data is synced to your logged-in account and stored in the cloud. It auto-saves about every 60 seconds, and you can save/load states on demand, so you can continue on other devices.
Which consoles (platforms) are supported?+
Major classic systems including NES, SNES, Game Boy (GB), Game Boy Color (GBC), Game Boy Advance (GBA), Nintendo 64 (N64), Nintendo DS (NDS), PlayStation (PS1) and PS2, Sega Mega Drive (Genesis), and MAME/Arcade.
Can I play on mobile?+
Yes. You can play on modern mobile web browsers, using the on-screen virtual touch pad for controls.
Can I upload my own games?+
Yes. Users can upload games, and when another user purchases your uploaded game, you (the uploader) earn 50% of the price in GM points.
Do you support Korean and English?+
Yes. Korean (default) and English are supported. Switch via the language prefix in the URL (/ko, /en).
